Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how pawtrck ("pawtrck," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, stores, and deletes information when you use the pawtrck mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account and Authentication Information
When you create or use a pawtrck account, we collect your email address, authentication identifiers, user ID, and sign-in provider information. You may sign in with an email and password, Google, or, on supported Apple platforms, Apple. Authentication is provided through Supabase. We do not store your plain-text password.
1.2 Pet Profile Information
We collect information you choose to provide about your pet, such as name, breed, birth date, weight, sex, size, activity level, spay or neuter status, main focus, allergies, diagnoses, profile handle, and profile photo.
1.3 Pet Care, Health, Diet, and Training Information
We collect the pet care information you enter or generate in pawtrck, including meal and treat logs, food details, calorie information, weight logs, medication and dose records, vaccination records, symptom records, veterinary appointment records, notes, training plans, command progress, achievements, and information included in reports you generate.
This information concerns pets. pawtrck is not a medical device and does not provide human medical services.
1.4 Exercise and Location Information
When you use exercise tracking, we may collect exercise type, duration, distance, pawsteps, timestamps, route coordinates, and related exercise history. If you start a location-based exercise, pawtrck may access precise location while the exercise is active, including in the background when the app is minimized, the screen is locked, or you use another app. This is used to record the active exercise route and calculate exercise information.
When you use location-based weather, your current coordinates are sent through the pawtrck backend to Apple Weather to obtain local weather conditions. Location is not used for advertising.
1.5 Photos, Camera, and Media
If you choose to add a pet profile photo, pawtrck may access the camera or photo library for the action you request. If you choose to save a workout card, pawtrck may request permission to save that image to your photo library. Uploaded pet profile photos are stored with our service provider.
1.6 Notifications
If you enable reminders or push notifications, we may collect notification preferences, reminder schedules, platform information, and a push notification token. These are used to schedule or deliver the notifications you request.
1.7 Purchases and Subscriptions
pawtrck Plus purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store or by Google through Google Play, depending on your device. RevenueCat helps us manage subscription status and entitlements. We may receive a pseudonymous app user ID, product identifiers, purchase history, subscription status, renewal or expiration information, and related transaction metadata. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
1.8 Technical and Support Information
We may process technical information needed to operate and secure the Services, such as app version, platform, request metadata, server logs, error information, sync status, and limited exercise diagnostics. If you contact support, we also process the information you include in your request.
1.9 Information Stored on Your Device
pawtrck stores certain account preferences, cached pet information, pending offline changes, and app state locally on your device so the app can work reliably and support offline or interrupted operations. You can remove this local information by deleting your account in the app, signing out where applicable, clearing the app's storage, or uninstalling the app.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- create, authenticate, secure, and maintain your account;
- store and synchronize pet profiles and pet care records;
- track exercises and display saved routes;
- calculate distance, duration, pawsteps, trends, summaries, and achievements;
- provide location-based weather information;
- schedule and deliver reminders and notifications you enable;
- generate charts and reports you request;
- process, restore, and verify pawtrck Plus access;
- provide support and respond to privacy or account requests;
- maintain reliability, troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse, and protect the Services; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell personal information or pet information to data brokers. We do not use precise location, pet health records, or account information for third-party advertising.
3. Permissions and Background Location
pawtrck requests device permissions only when they are needed for a feature you choose to use. These permissions may include location, background location, notifications, camera, photos, and media storage.
Background location is used only while an active location-based exercise is running so the route and distance can continue to be recorded if the app is not in the foreground. You can stop the exercise or change permissions in your device settings at any time. Disabling a permission may prevent the related feature from working.
4. How We Disclose Information
We disclose information only as needed to operate the Services, complete actions you request, protect pawtrck and its users, or comply with law. Service providers process information on our behalf under their own contractual and privacy obligations.
The Services currently use the following providers:
- Supabase: authentication, database, file storage, and backend data services;
- Railway: backend API hosting and infrastructure;
- Cloudflare: website delivery, DNS, security, and content delivery services;
- RevenueCat: subscription status, purchase history, and entitlement management;
- Apple App Store and Google Play: purchases, billing, subscriptions, cancellations, and refunds;
- Google and Apple: optional social authentication, depending on the sign-in method and platform you choose;
- Expo and platform push services: app platform tooling and push notification delivery, including Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging where applicable;
- Apple Weather: weather conditions for location-based weather features; and
- Apple Maps or Google Maps: map content used to display exercise routes, depending on the device platform.
We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, or a valid government request; to protect rights, safety, and security; or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards and notice where required.
5. Advertising and First-Party Promotions
The current version of pawtrck does not integrate a third-party advertising SDK. The app may display first-party messages about pawtrck features or pawtrck Plus. Offers to purchase or upgrade pawtrck Plus are not third-party advertisements. If we introduce third-party advertising in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and the applicable store disclosures before doing so.
6. Data Retention and Account Deletion
We retain account information and associated pet data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Services. Technical and security logs may be retained for a limited period for reliability, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, security, and legal compliance.
You can permanently delete your account by opening Settings and selecting Delete Account in the pawtrck app. You can also request deletion without access to the app by following the instructions at https://www.pawtrck.com/account-deletion/.
When account deletion is completed, we delete the pawtrck authentication account and associated active-service data, including pet profiles, uploaded pet profile photos, pet care records, saved exercise routes, notification tokens, and pawtrck subscription-entitlement records. We also request deletion of the associated RevenueCat customer record. Some limited information may remain temporarily in backups, security records, fraud-prevention records, or logs until overwritten under provider retention cycles, or where retention is required by law. We do not use retained information for marketing.
Deleting your pawtrck account does not cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription. You must manage or cancel the subscription through the store where you purchased it. Store operators may retain transaction records under their own legal and financial obligations.
Deleting your pawtrck account is separate from managing apps connected to your Google Account or Apple Account. You can review connected-app access in the applicable provider's account settings.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. These include encrypted transport using HTTPS, authenticated access, database access controls, and restricted service credentials. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International Processing
Our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate legal mechanisms and provider safeguards for international data processing.
9. Children's Privacy
pawtrck is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
10. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or obtain a copy of personal information, or to object to certain processing. You can update or delete many pet records directly in the app, manage device permissions in system settings, manage subscriptions through the applicable app store, and delete your pawtrck account as described above.

11. Third-Party Services
Third-party services have their own terms and privacy practices. Your use of those services, including Google, Apple, Google Play, the App Store, mapping services, and payment services, may also be governed by their policies.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Services or legal requirements change. We will update the "Last updated" date and provide additional notice when required.
